Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

If you need a way to spend time with your kids, baking together in the kitchen is a good place to start. And you can never go wrong with applesauce cookies.

1 cup applesauce
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
