Baked Strawberry Shortcake Donuts

These baked shortcake donuts are dipped in cinnamon sugar and topped with whipped cream and strawberries to make the ultimate strawberry shortcake! Plus they’re baked, so, breakfast anyone? Winning.

Donuts
6 Tbsp butter, softened
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Coating
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Whipped Cream
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 Tbsp powdered sugar
4-5 Strawberries, sliced
