The best big, soft cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.

For the rolls:
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon instant yeast
2 eggs
5 1/2 to 6 cups flour
For the filling:
1/2 cup butter, very soft
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the frosting:
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
Pinch of salt
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk, or as needed for consistency
