Brownie Bottom Pecan Pie Bars

1 box of brownie mix
ingredients to make brownies - water, eggs, oil (according to directions on box)
2 eggs
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/3 cup corn syrup, plus 1 tablespoon
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
