Coconut Key Lime Cake

A vanilla and coconut layer cake with a tart key lime filling a coconut buttercream!

For the cake:
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups, plus 2 tablespoons sugar
3 large eggs
3 large egg yolks
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 ¼ cup cake flour
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cup milk
3 ½ cup shredded coconut, divided

For the filling
1 3.5 oz box white chocolate pudding
1 ¼ cup cold milk
1 envelope Dream Whip powdered whipped topping
¼ cup key lime juice

For the frosting:
1 cup butter softened
1 cup shortening
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons cream of coconut
6 cups powdered sugar
¼ cup water
