DIY Taco Seasoning
336
Economical AND without nasty ingredients you can't pronounce, this recipe tastes like the packaged goods, but is good for you and simple to make. Mix up a double or triple batch for future use...keeps in a sealed container for months. Would make a great teacher gift too!

2 Tbsp chili powder (use mild or medium, depending on your family's taste)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion poweder
1/2 tsp red pepper/chilli flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
3 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp salt (sea salt is nice)
2 tsp ground black pepper
For cooking : 2/3 cup water, 2 tsp cornstarch and 2-3 tbsp of taco seasoning mix
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion poweder
1/2 tsp red pepper/chilli flakes
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
3 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp salt (sea salt is nice)
2 tsp ground black pepper
For cooking : 2/3 cup water, 2 tsp cornstarch and 2-3 tbsp of taco seasoning mix
In a small bowl, mix all ingredients well and store in a sealed container in a dry place.
When making tacos, brown 1 lb ground beef, then add the water and cornstarch and stir in 2-3 Tbsp of the seasoning. Simmer until liquid has evaporated and meat is no longer pink. Now you are ready to enjoy your tacos!
