Easy Slow Cooked Mongolian Beef

Slow cooked in a sweet and spicy glaze, this Mongolian beef is better than take-out!

1 1/2 pounds flank steak
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup grated carrots
2-3 green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cooked rice, for serving
