These cookies don't actually have eggnog in them, but the flavor is similar to homemade eggnog . Combine rum extract and nutmeg and you have instant eggnog flavor.

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. rum extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 Tbl. sugar, for rolling
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg, for rolling
