We make this delicious drink around the holidays and New Year's Eve. It's so good! My kids love it!
12
3 c. water
2 c. sugar
46 oz. pineapple juice
1 ½ c. orange juice
3 ripe bananas, mashed
3 quarts Ginger Ale
2 c. sugar
46 oz. pineapple juice
1 ½ c. orange juice
3 ripe bananas, mashed
3 quarts Ginger Ale
Mix water and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Use large stockpot for this, won’t have enough room for other juices if you use regular saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in fruit juices and bananas. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan (I used one with a cover, because the transfer to a freezer can be very messy without it) and freeze until firm.
To Serve: Remove pan from freezer. Let it stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to soften fruit mixture. Break/cut into small chunks. Place chunks into a tall glass and cover with ginger ale. (It can also be served plain without the ginger ale.) Serve immediately.
