Grilled Sticky Chicken Skewers

These skewers are bursting with flavor. You really can’t go wrong with onion, garlic and fresh ginger. And, adding the pepper flakes gives a little hint of heat that adds depth to the marinade. I make a double batch of the sauce and kept half in the fridge for the following week. It would also make a great dipping sauce! I think the best part about this recipe is that you serve the chicken on the skewers.

1-2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken, cut into strips
8 cloves Garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
¼ cup onion, minced
2 tbsp vegetable oil
¾ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp cider vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
¼ to 1 tsp red pepper flakes (to taste)
Bamboo or metal skewers (soak bamboo skewers in water)
