Soft & chewy iced oatmeal cookies. Or un-iced. I like them both ways.

For the cookies
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup butter (2 sticks), I used salted
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
For the glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons milk
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup butter (2 sticks), I used salted

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
