Homemade meatballs and Italian sauce on a toasted, cheesy bun.

For the meatballs:
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese
3 Tbsp milk
1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tsp dried oregano
1 large clove garlic, finely minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
3/4 cup flour, for dredging
For the sandwiches:
4 hoagies or sub rolls
Sliced mozzarella cheese
For the sauce:
1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
3/4 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
