Maple Nut Brownies Recipe

This yummy brownie has an amazing maple layer with nuts and a moist brownie bottom. It's a quick and easy dessert because the brownie bottom is a boxed brownie mix. Brace yourself, these are sooooo good!

18.4 ounces Betty Crocker brownie mix (I used Original Supreme Brownie Mix)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 egg

Maple/peanut layer:
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 tablespoon water
1 1/2 teaspoons maple flavoring
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup lightly salted dry roasted peanuts

Topping:
1 cup chocolate chips, milk or semi sweet
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
