On the Go Cereal Bars

I combined two of my kids’ favorite cereals, Quaker Oatmeal Squares and Rice Krispies, as the base of this breakfast, and then added other nutrient-and-energy-packed ingredients like flaxseed, almonds, and dried fruit. These bars will taste decadent and your little ones will never guess that they are full of healthy ingredients!

½ c. honey
2 t. vanilla
½ t. salt
? t. cinnamon
1 T. brown sugar
¼ c. creamy almond butter or peanut butter
2 c. Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal
1 c. Rice Krispies cereal
¼ c. ground flaxseed
¼ c. ground wheat germ
½ c. chopped salted and roasted almonds or peanuts or other nuts of your choice
½ c. dried cherries, dried cranberries, raisins, or other dried fruit of your choice
¼ c. dark chocolate chips
2 t. vanilla
½ t. salt
? t. cinnamon
