2 cups pasta ( dry, shells, penne, elbows, rotini )
1 1/2 cups milk ( 2% or whole, more as needed )
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2/3 cup pumpkin puree
2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese ( more to taste )
1/2 cup kale ( torn into bite size pieces )
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
