Gorgeous, fresh asparagus. Crunchy bacon. Buttery garlic and onion. From stove top to oven in the same skillet.

4 slices low-sodium bacon, cut into ¼-inch ribbons
¼ cup diced onion
1 large garlic, diced
2 tablespoons butter

Place one rack in the top third of the oven and pre-heat oven to 400° F.
In a cast iron skillet, over medium heat, lightly brown the bacon, rendering a good amount of the fat.
