Homemade garam masala spices up this classic dish. Typically made in a tagine, my "tagine" is my slow cooker. Cream, yet spicy, this Slow Cooker Chicken Tikki Masala is great for any night of the week.

1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cups thinly sliced onion
2 tablespoons minced garlic
29 ounces tomato puree
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoons garam masala
2 tablespoons ground cumin
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 whole bay leaves, crushed
1 cup fat free half and half
3 tablespoons cornstarch
6 cups hot, cooked rice
2 cups thinly sliced onion
