We make these sandwiches all the time . . . they take about 5 minutes to prepare and cook all day in your slow cooker. It makes a lot, so it's perfect for when you have family and friends over!
Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches
Also seen on Six Sisters Stuff
Ingredients
2 pounds roast beef ( either beef or pork - we use whatever is on sale that week! )29 ounces beef consomme ( 2 cans - I can always find this mixed in with the soups )
6 hoagie buns ( we use hoagie, but any kind of bun will work )
Directions
Place roast in greased slow-cooker. Pour consomme over the top of the roast. Cook on low 8-11 hours or on high for 5-7 hours. Remove roast and save extra juice for dipping! With 2 forks, pull apart roast (when it is done, it should pull apart easily . . . almost fall apart). Serve meat on buns and use extra juice to dip sandwiches in.

I made this Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches recipe last week and it is delicious. I froze the juice dip in sprayed muffin tins and removed after frozen to Pam-sprayed foil squares. I put sandwich-size amounts of the shredded beef on a large sprayed foil sheet and froze them, removed them after frozen to separate sprayed foil squares. All of them that I didn't eat are in the freezer for more sandwiches. Yumm!!!! I think next time I'll add onion slices on top of the meat when I cook it.
