I have never been a big seafood lover. Clam chowder is about as crazy as it gets for me! I love using my slow cooker for soup in the winter so the house smells good and I have a hot meal ready by dinnertime. Mmm Mm Mm!

Slow Cooker New England Clam Chowder Recipe

Ingredients

26    ounces    minced clams reserve juice ( or you can use chopped clams )
10 3/4    ounces    cream of mushroom soup
3    potatoes ( medium, peeled and diced )
2    celery ( stalks, diced )
2    teaspoons    garlic ( minced )
1    onion ( diced )
6    bacon strips ( cooked and diced )
1 1/2    teaspoons    dried basil
1 1/2    teaspoons    thyme ( dried )
1    bay leaves
   to taste    salt and pepper
3    cups    half and half
