Turtle Thumbprint Cookies Recipe

Our grandma makes the best thumbprint cookies! We shared her recipe a few years ago, and still can’t get enough of it! Every year around the holidays we love making her thumbprint cookies and sharing them with our neighbors and friends. This year we decided to put a little twist on her cookies, and these delicious Turtle Cookies were the result! These are the perfect cookies to share with your family and friends this year, or to keep all to yourself ????

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup shortening
½ cup brown sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of salt
2 cups of flour
3 cups of finely chopped pecans
1 (11 oz) bag of Kraft Caramels
¼ cup milk
2 cups chocolate chips
