This is a perfect, easy morning treat for all to enjoy! This french toast is perfectly sweetened and tastes great with warm maple or pancake syrup.

1 loaf day-old sourdough bread
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup half and half
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
For Topping:
heaping 1/4 cup brown sugar
