This hearty pasta dish is sure to be a regular in your menu. Make ahead and freeze. Then thaw overnight and bake for a cheesy, hearty meal.

1 lb. ziti or penne
20 oz. turkey sausage
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
4 medium cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 (28 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning or oregano
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. cornstarch
1 cup whole milk
8 oz. low moisture mozzarella, cut into 1/4 inch pieces
