Banana Cream Pie

Classic banana cream pie has a made-from-scratch vanilla custard filling, sliced fresh bananas, and mounds of whipped cream on top. It's usually made in a flaky baked pie crust, but graham cracker crust can be used as well.

2 cups whole milk
6 large egg yolks
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp butter
3 bananas
1 pie crust
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp sour cream
