A simple sugar cookie with Almond Bark frosting I called these Basswood cookies growing up because I couldn't remember the bark frosting. Properly, they should be bark cookies, but I always called them basswood cookies.

1 cup margarine
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 egg
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
For the Frosting
3 squares almond bark
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 Tbsp lemon juice
