Vanilla Cupcakes:
1-3/4 c. cake flour
1-1/4 c. all purpose flour
1-3/4 c. sugar
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, at room temperature and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Vanilla Buttercream:
1-1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 lbs. powdered sugar
1/2 c. milk
