My Sister said there's nothing better than Mom's Breakfast casserole...and she's tried a ton of them.

6 slices of bread (buttered on both sides)
1/2 lb bulk sausage or links, cooked
1/2 lb mushrooms sliced
1/4 c green peppers, chopped
1/2 c onions, chopped
6 eggs
3 cups milk
1 cup sharp cheese, shredded
salt and pepper

salt and pepper
Line a 9x13 pan with the slices of bread. Beat the eggs and milk together. Add salt and pepper. Pour over the bread slices. Sprinkle the remaining ingredients over the top. Add cheese last.
Put in fridge overnight.
Bake @ 300° for 1 hour or until eggs are set.
