Carrot Cake with Maple-Cream Frosting

I made this carrot cake on Sunday,
1 1/2 cups all purpose, unbleached flour ( or cake flour )
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 egg white
2 TBS. canola oil
8 oz. crushed pineapple packed in 100% juice, drained but reserving 1/4 cup of juice
1 cup of shredded fresh carrots ( or chopped finely in food processor)
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts ( optional)
4 oz. light cream cheese ( Neufchatel ), at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
1 TBS. pure maple syrup
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. fresh ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
