Chewy Chocolate Sugar Cookies

I love a good chewy sugar cookie. One that you can really sink your teeth into but is soft in the middle and so buttery. If you're like me, who also is a chocolate fanatic, you'll love these cookies!

1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
