2 c uncooked wide egg noodles
6 T salted butter
1/2 c diced carrot
1/2 c diced celery
1/2 c diced onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 c all purpose flour
1 c milk
2 c chicken broth
1.5 t fresh thyme leaves ( or .5 t dried thyme )
2 c shredded cooked chicken
1 c grated cheddar cheese
1 c frozen peas
3/4 c Ritz cracker crumbs
salt and pepper ( to taste )
