This yakitori recipe is bite sized pieces of chicken that are grilled on skewers and coated in a sweet and savory glaze. A unique and unexpected appetizer or main course option that always gets rave reviews from family and friends.

For the skewers:
1 1/4 lbs chicken thighs
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp green onions ( sliced )
For the sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsp minced ginger
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp cornstarch
