These cookie/brownies are amazing-the ultimate Christmas dessert. They are the perfect combination of brownies with chocolate chip cookies in the middle of them topped with a chocolate ganache. They are incredibly sweet so I could only eat one or two at a time, but they are so delicious.

For the Brownies:
½ c. butter, melted
¼ c. applesauce
1 ½ c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
2 egg whites
½ c. Hershey’s cocoa
¾ c. flour
½ t. baking powder
½ t. salt
For the Cookies:
¼ c. butter, softened
¼ c. applesauce
½ c. sugar
¼ c. brown sugar
½ t. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/8 c. flour
½ t. baking soda
½ t. salt
¾ c. chocolate chips
For the ganache:
1 c. Wilton chocolate melts
½ c. sweetened condensed milk
½ c. butter, melted
¼ c. applesauce
1 ½ c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
