Red Sauce:
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 large onion, diced (about 1/2 cup)
• 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach
• ½ of a red bell pepper, diced
• 2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
• 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
• 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
• 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
• salt and pepper, to taste
White Sauce (béchamel sauce):
• 4 tablespoons butter
• ¼ cup all-purpose flour
• 2 1/2 cups milk
• salt and pepper, to taste
Lasagna:
• 9 regular lasagna noodles or 12 no-boil noodles
• 1/2 lb ground beef
• ½ lb ground Italian sausage
• 1 pound mozzarella cheese, shredded
• 8 ounces Parmesan cheese, shredded
