A few weeks back we celebrated 3 birthdays that happen when my parents are gone for the winter. Mine, The Oldest’s and my dad’s. Since the Oldest is away at school, when he’s home, I make his favorites. I showed him 5 cakes from the most recent Food Network Magazine and let him pick out which one I would make. For the Frosting:
6 ounces white chocolate, finely chopped
3 sticks butter-at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
3 cups powdered sugar
For the Cake:
1- basic vanilla cake baked and cooled, made in 2 8 inch cake pans
1/2 package Oreo cookies-chopped
