Crispy Tempura Shrimp with Sweet and Sour Sauce

Who new that crispy tempura shrimp was so easy to make! Don't they look amazing? Crunchy, flavorful, and best of all fresh out of your own kitchen.

1/2 lb large shrimp - cleaned, shelled, and tails removed

Tempura Batter:
1 cup of all purpose flour
4 tablespoons of corn starch
2 teaspoons of baking soda
2 tablespoons of oil
1 cup of water - add more if needed (1/2 cup)
vegetable oil for frying

Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/4 cup of vinegar
1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons of ketchup
1 teaspoon of corn start & 1/2 cup of water - mix together
