I\\\'ve been using his recipe for over 15 years from an old card that has tomato juice splashed all over it! We love it because its more mild, so therefore Mr. Right loves it (he cant stand heat). You can make it more spicy by adding hotter peppers.
6
•5 Cups peeled, cored, chopped tomatoes
•3/4 Cups Chopped Onion
•6 cloves garlic
•1/2 tsp. ground cumin
•1 Cup chopped green peppers
•1 jalapeño pepper - if none use 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
•1/2 C. vinegar
•1 1/2 tsp. salt
•3/4 Cups Chopped Onion
•6 cloves garlic
•1/2 tsp. ground cumin
•1 Cup chopped green peppers
•1 jalapeño pepper - if none use 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
•1/2 C. vinegar
•1 1/2 tsp. salt
Combine, boil, and simmer for 20 minutes. You can refrigerate, freeze or can. I can this and water boil it for 20 minutes in Pint jars.
Note: This makes a smaller batch, so I just triple or quadruple...
