Easy and Healthy Slow Cooker Gumbo

All you have to do is put all the ingredients in your slow cooker and let it go! It is also very versatile. I add chicken, shrimp, and sausage to mine, but you can add just one, two, or all three depending on what you have on hand! Nothing beats coming home to a meal that is ready to go!

2 (raw)skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cubed
2 cups hot sausage, cut into disks (the sausage is easier to cut if partially frozen)
1/2 pound medium frozen, precooked shrimp with tails removed
1 can diced tomatoes, do not drain
3 cups chicken broth, (Best to use the 99% fat free version from Swanson)
3 cups water, you can add more if you like, depending on how "soupy" you want it
1 cup frozen, raw okra slices (found in the frozen veggie section in the grocery store)
1 cup chopped white onion
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
1 1/2 cups uncooked brown, long grain rice
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 clove minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste.

Place the chicken broth and water into the pot. Add the sausage pieces and chicken breast cubes. Add the tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, garlic, and all of the seasonings.
