Easy Homemade Apple Pie

This Apple pie recipe will become a new family favorite!! Paired with a little caramel ice cram, it make the perfect dessert, or comfort treat!!

1) 6 Medium sized apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2) 2 9-inch pie crusts (one for your top crust, one for your bottom crust)
3) 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
4) 3/4 cup sugar
5) 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
6) 1/2 tsp each: ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg
7) 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
8) 2 tablespoons butter, melted
2) 2 9-inch pie crusts (one for your top crust, one for your bottom crust)
3) 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

7) 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
8) 2 tablespoons butter, melted
1) Preheat oven to 425F. Line your 9 inch pie plate with one crust. Making sure to firmly press along the bottom.
2) In a large mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients. Mix well.
3) Add apples, vanilla, and butter. Gently mix well and pour into pie crust.
4) Top with second pie crust, sealing the edges with a fork. Using a sharp knife, make a few small cuts in the middle of the pie. To allow steam to be released.
5) Bake on the middle rack of oven for 40-45 minutes. Until crust turns golden brown!
6) Allow pie to cool at least an hour before cutting & serving.
**Tips**
*Top with Vanilla or caramel ice cream for the ultimate dessert!
* Top 3 apples to use in pie. Cortland, Jonagold, Gala*
*Place a cookie sheet under your pie plate when you put it in the oven. This will catch any pie juice that may spill over, preventing it from falling to the bottom of your oven and burning. Makes for a much easier clean up*
*Unless you are a pro, don't be a hero and try to make your crust from scratch, it's not an easy task to master on the first try*
