Perfect for the Holiday season these cookies have the same wonderful spicy and creamy flavors as the drink. The soft sugar cookie is the perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg. The glaze can be made with or without rum, so even the kids can enjoy these.

For the Cookies
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 cup eggnog
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
For The Glaze
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
5 Tablespoons eggnog
1-2 teaspoons spiced rum *optional but good
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Additional Nutmeg for sprinkling on top of cookies

Instructions
In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat well. Then add the eggnog and mix again.
