Fresh Asparagus Quiche

Recently I bought a bunch of asparagus on sale … then promptly forgot all about it in the fridge.When it was rediscovered I wanted something other than regular old roasted asparagus, so I decided to make a quiche. Don’t you just love how versatile a quiche is? You can make it for breakfast, lunch, brunch or even dinner. I chose not to add meat, but bacon, ham, or sausage would go really well with the asparagus. I also added some spicy pepper jack cheese (if you don’t like spicy, go with a milder

1 pie crust(I used pillsbury ready made crust)
8 thin spears asparagus (trim off the bottom 2 inches)
3 large eggs
1 1/2 c heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c pepper jack cheese
