Fruity Whipped Jello Salad

This is an easy to put together fruit salad that never makes it home from potlucks! It's fun because you can choose the color to match the theme of the party by using jello that matches that color!

2 large tubs non-dairy whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 large package or 2 small package (for a total of 6 oz.) gelatin mix (such as Jello)
6 large cans canned fruit – I usually use 2-3 cans of the very cherry fruit cocktail, 1-2 cans mandarin oranges, and 1-2 cans pineapple chunks. However, I have also used tropical canned fruit for fun, canned cubed peaches or pears.
Fresh fruit such as sliced bananas, sliced strawberries or grapes (optional)
1 bag colored mini marshmallows
