German Spaetzle

Spaetzles are essentially German noodles. Besides Germany; they are also common in the Alsace region, Hungary, Austria and the German part of Switzerland.

2 cups flour
3 medium eggs
½ cup of water
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. oil

This recipe is my husband's grandmother's recipe. The texture of the dough is a little thicker and you will need a different gadget (the board with the knife).

1½ cup milk and water combined
2½ to 3 cups flour - combined to a thick consistency
build " well of four" put in eggs, water, milk and combine
add more flour as needed.
Using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer with a double attachment mix all ingredients. Work the dough until it forms large bubbles, and let it rest. While the dough is resting, bring a pot of salted water...
