I grew up with this bread recipe, my grandma made it and so did my mom. We all love it.

2 cups scalded milk
3-4 Tbsp shortening
3 Tbsp honey (or sugar)
1 Tbsp salt.
4 Tbsp instant potatoes
1/2 - 3/4 Tbsp yeast
3-4 Tbsp shortening
3 Tbsp honey (or sugar)
1 Tbsp salt.
4 Tbsp instant potatoes
1/2 - 3/4 Tbsp yeast
Add shortening,sugar,and salt to scaled milk and cool to luke warm
Add yeast and instant potatoes.
Beat in 4 cups of flour then add 3-4 cups more.
Cover and let rest 10-15 minutes. Knead and let rise until...
