Green Moong Dal Curry (Green Gram Curry)

Green moon dal / Green gram is a very healthy lentil which gives us great nutrition when used in our day to day meals.

Green moong dal / green gram - 1 cup
Medium sized chopped Onion - 1
Medium sized chopped Tomato - 1
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon
Ginger paste - 1 tea spoon
Chopped Garlic cloves - 3
Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
Red chilli powder - 1 table spoon
Chole masala : 1 table spoon (optional)
Oil - 2 table spoons
Salt - as per taste

Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon
Ginger paste - 1 tea spoon
Chopped Garlic cloves - 3
Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
Red chilli powder - 1 table spoon
Chole masala : 1 table spoon (optional)
Oil - 2 table spoons
Salt - as per taste
Firstly soak the green moon dal/ green gram in 3 cups of water for 4 to 5 hours.
Once soaked, boil it in a pressure cooker to hear 4 to 5 whistles.
Then heat oil in skillet & add mustard seeds & cumin seeds. Let it splutture.
Add ginger paste, garlic cloves & cook for a minute.
Add onion & let it cook till golden brown.
Then add tomato & cook it for 3 to 4 minutes till it gets musshy.
Put all the dry spices.. Turmeric powder, red chilli powder & chole masala & cook for a minute.
Then add the boiled green gram to it & stur everthing well.
Pour some hot water if you feel the curry to be dry & let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Garnish with corinder leaves & the Green Moon Dal curry is ready!
Enjoy it piping hot with roti/chapati/naan/kulcha/rice! :) :)
