A fantastic stew recipe that was born in the hardest of times - The Great Depression.

2 pounds of any kind of mixed vegetables
6 ounces of onion diced
1 pound tomatoes diced
1 clove garlic minced
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 pounds of potatoes diced
1 cup uncooked macaroni
4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon each of salt, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, and oregano

In a large skillet or soup pot cook the ground beef, onion and potatoes for 15 minutes over medium heat. Next, add the remainder of the ingredients except for the macaroni until it boils. When boiling add the macaroni and cover, allowing the contents to cook until the macaroni is tender.
