Homemade Almond Milk

1 cup raw, whole almonds
4 cups water
½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
1-2 tablespoons agave, sugar, or honey (optional)
Place almonds and water in a blender and let sit overnight. Blend until the almond is broken into small chunks, about one minute. Run liquid through fine mesh strainer.
