Italian Sausage Burritos
515
The combination of Italian sausage with peppers and onions, wrapped in a flour tortilla is delightful. I created this recipe in an effort to make dinner using ingredients I already had in my refrigerator. The result was out of this world. My Husband was a huge fan of it.
4
1 lb. of bulk Italian sausage (mild or spicy, whatever is your favorite)
2 sweet green peppers, sliced in strips
1 medium yellow onion, sliced in strips
4 10-inch flour tortillas
2 sweet green peppers, sliced in strips
1 medium yellow onion, sliced in strips
4 10-inch flour tortillas
In a large skillet, with a little oil (I used grapeseed oil, but you could swap out for canola oil, olive oil, or omit oil all together). Set burner to a medium heat level. Add sliced peppers and onions. Sauteed peppers and onions for a few minutes before adding sausage. Continue to cook the peppers, onions, and sausage, over medium heat until the sausage is cook through - I like the sausage to be an bite sized crumbly pieces, and the peppers and onions are soft.
When the sausage mixture is cooked thoroughly, Scoop 1/4 of the mixture on each tortilla. Wrap each tortilla, burrito style.
Enjoy!!
