Lemon Chiffon Pie

This lemon chiffon pie is is a family recipe from my Grandma Prince that we make every single year for Thanksgiving. It's one my all time favorite pies!

1 baked, 9'' pie shell
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup lemon juice
dash of salt
1 cup sugar + 1/2 cup
1/4 cup butter
5 Tbsp cornstarch + 1/2 cup water
3 eggs, yolks and whites separated
1/4 tsp lemon extract
