Have you ever looked at the ingredients on corn dogs? Some…well actually most that you buy at the store are not the best things for you so it’s always best to make your own. My kiddos absolutely love these things and this recipe is for mini corn dogs (although you can make bigger ones by just using a larger hot dog) and the kids think the mini ones are so cool! Enjoy…

1 package Wieners
1 cup Flour
1 cup Cornmeal
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Sugar
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 Egg
1 cup Milk
1 quart Vegetable Oil (for frying)
16 Wooden Skewers
1 cup Flour
1 cup Cornmeal
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Sugar
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 Egg
1 cup Milk
1 quart Vegetable Oil (for frying)
16 Wooden Skewers
Mix together cornmeal, flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
Add in eggs and milk and mix until blended.
Transfer mixture to tall glass or mason jar.
Preheat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
