My Mother-in-law was a great cook, she fed her 6 children very well. This is one of their favorite recipes.

1 pound "block" haddock, frozen
2 cups water
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon celery seed
2 cups water
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
1 teaspoon celery seed
Put all ingredients except haddock into a deep saucepan and bring to a boil, drop in haddock and boil approx. 20 minutes or until done.
Serve with containers of melted butter for dipping and lemon.
