Mutton Curry/Gravy

This is a a South Indian style of preparing mutton curry.In this recipe mutton is slow cooked with a spicy sauce which gives a rich flavor and taste to the curry.

1 lb Mutton cut in medium size.
2 Onions Sliced
3 Tomatoes chopped
1 Green chili slit
2 tbsp. Coriander leaves
1 tsp. Pepper corn
1tbsp. Ginger
4 Garlic cloves
1/4 cup Coconut slice
11/2 tsp. Red chili powder
1 tsp. Salt or as per taste
1 tsp. Coriander powder
1 inch Cinnamon stick
4 Cloves
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
7 Curry leaves
3 tsp oil
2 Onions Sliced

1. Wash the mutton pieces and set aside.
2. Heat tsp of oil in skillet ,add onions,ginger and garlic and roast for 1 min until onions turn golden brown.
3. Then add chopped tomatoes and fry for few seconds,followed by add coconut slices,pepper corns,salt and all the spice powder( red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder) and cook for 5 min .
4. Allow the masala mixture to cool completely and blend them into fine paste using 1/2 cup water.
5. Heat oil in pressure cooker,when hot add curry leaves ,cinnamon ,clove and then add mutton pieces and fry for few seconds until the mutton becomes pale in color.
6. Now add the blended masala to mutton and combine well and close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 20 to 25 min or for 4 whistle.
7. Once the pressure cooker has cooled completely open the lid and add chopped coriander leaves and cook on heat for 5 min and then transfer to serving bowl and enjoy with rice or roti.
